WARNING: I DID NOT WRITE THIS.
Now that, that warning is over. This was written by Infa. I'm posting it cause he's a bit of a dipstick and can't Dreamwidth.
Infa wandered the streets of Vale, taking in the city as he headed toward the airship building. As he passed a butcher shop, his mind went back to the night his life changed as he tugged his crimson trench coat tighter around him to hide the swords on his back as well as his black panther tail.

It was dusk, the young hunter quietly stalked his prey to a clearing in the woods. The buck he had been following for two hours had finally stopped to eat the fresh spring grass in the clearing. The youth stopped in the shadow of a tall tree and readied his bow, pulling on the arrow while aiming at the buck. Right as he was about to release the arrow, the buck startled and fled off into the brush. The youth, surprised at the strange behavior, went on alert, scanning the clearing as his cat ears twitched back and forth before picking up the sound of running footsteps. He hid in the shadows of the tree as a Huntsman wielding a large long bow came charging out of the brush while he fired behind him. His arrow entered the brush right before a howl came from the brush as three Beowulfs charged out after the hunter.
The Huntsman came to a stop in the clearing, blood running down his chest and arms as he stood there shakily, turning the bow he was holding into two swords that he used to weakly fend off the Beowulfs’ blows. The youth standing in the shadows watched in amazement before realizing that the Huntsman was severely hurt. He readied his bow again and sighted in, releasing the arrow toward the nearest Beowulf. His arrow flew straight and true into the Beowulf’s eye as it turned its head, killing it instantly as the youth pulled out another arrow and put it to the bow, pulling back again.
At the disappearance of their comrade, the other two Beowulf’s turned to look at him. The closest Beowulf stopped attacking the huntsman and charged at the youth. As the Beowulf bore down on the youth, he fired the arrow into the Beowulfs shoulder, severing the muscles in its arm and rendering it useless. The Beowulf attacked the youth as he raised his bow to defend. The bow held off the blow for only a short time before shattering in his hand as he rolled to the side while unsheathing a large hunting knife. As the Beowulf attacked again, the youth sprung to the side as his tail reached up and snagged a low tree limb, pulling himself up to it as he thought on his best course of action for killing the Beowulf. As the Beowulf stalked closer, the youth sensed that the huntsman had finished off the other Beowulf before collapsing in the clearing, bleeding heavily. As the Beowulf lost interest and turned back toward the injured huntsman the youth jumped onto its back. He used his tail to grab the Beowulf’s neck as it tried to throw him off. The youth gripped the knife in his hand tightly before jabbing quickly at the Beowulf, sinking the knife into it’s skull and killing it as he jumped away.
After ensuring that nothing else lurked in the shadows using his stalking ability and his almost perfect night vision, he grabbed his knife up and ran over to the huntsman. Seeing that the Huntsman had lost an arm, he quickly stripped off his shirt and bound up his wounds as best he could before lifting the Huntsman. The youth grabbed the two swords off the ground and hung them on his belt before running the huntsman back to his village to be treated.

4 years to the day after he had saved the huntsman’s life, Infa was once again out hunting. He had tracked down a large buck to the same clearing where he had killed his first Grimm and saved his mentor, Jonas. He used his ability to determine if any other creatures, passive or aggressive, were nearby before readying the large bow he had received from his mentor. After putting the arrow on the string, he pulled hard and released, cleanly killing the buck with an arrow through the heart. After using his night vision and ability to check again, he used his tail to swing down off the tree limb he was on and walked into the clearing, ensuring the buck was dead before picking it up and carrying it back to the village.
“Good night of hunting?” Jonas asked as he stood up, rubbing the stump of the arm he lost in battle.
“A good buck, fetched a good price.” Infa tossed a bag of Lien on the table as he hung his bow on the special hook for it. “What’s that you got there?”
“Your entrance papers for Beacon. Ozpin said that he’s interested in what I told him about what happened that night you saved me and is impressed with your quick master of Kanshou and Bakuya. You leave tonight.” Jonas threw Infa the packet of papers.
“That’s a bit soon, isn’t it?” Infa caught the papers and went through them quickly, confirming when the arrival date for Beacon was. “I guess you’re right.” Infa started gathering together some clothes into a backpack.
“Here kid, this is yours now.” Jonas tossed a package wrapped in brown paper to Infa. Infa caught the package and quickly unwrapped it to reveal a crimson trench coat with a shredded lower hem. “This is your old huntsman coat, isn’t it?”
“Sure is, it should also help you hide your tail and swords when you’re heading to Beacon.” Jonas grinned as he tossed Infa his belt of arrows. Infa caught it and pulled it on as he took the bow and turned it into its primary two sword form, sheathing them on the back of his belt. “Then I’ll be going Jonas.” Infa grinned as he high fived his mentor. “Take care of the place for me.” Infa headed out of the house toward the airship over on the edge of town.
