This is a novelization on what happened in Skype earlier. Mostly.
What happened in Skype.
I pissed off Sollux. He went Cerber. He chased me around the universe(s). AJ and Rattattattattattatta had to calm him down. I lounged in my mindscape, protected by ruins/magic.
-------------------
I snickered, watching the annoyable friend I had as his face turned more and more red with anger.
"Sharpie!" I emerged from my hiding spot, keeping my best "I didn't do whatever you're talking about face" on.
It always worked. Mostly.
"Yes?" I questioned, my perfected laughter mask in place.
"Why did you-"
I burst out laughing. Even the Mask couldn't hold the hysteria. Ah well. I'd just escape to my mindscape. Always worked mostly. I shifted my wings, changing the position of the primaries into flight mode.
The anger on Sollux's face turned into rage. Uh-oh. Cerber wants to play. Time to scram.
I crouched, then leaped into the air, flapping my shadow-gray wings as I did so. Ah, the joys of flight.
A growl sounded under me. I looked down, watching Sollux morph into the wolf. Cerber was playing.
I twisted the shadows into a tendril that restrained him, giving me a head start. Shadows were annoying to create in the middle of space, and I couldn't exactly use the moons. I clapped my hands and the tendril erupted into shadow fire, my personal creation. It wouldn't exactly burn the rage-induced werewolf, but it could potentially overheat him.
That would be useful.
I flapped my wings faster, easily slipping into overdrive (and breaking the sound barrier. That was fun.) I had to get to the right planet to slip into my mindscape. Uh... Eight minutes forward at full speed, first planet.
Around a million light years back (miles are so short for us hybrids/gifted, we have to use light years) I heard a howl. Well, they held him long enough. Six minutes. The sound of a sound barrier being broken for the second time today signaled five. Growls signified four. The sounds of a werewolf coming just a bit closer told me about three, two, and.
One. There it was.
I dove into the atmosphere of the planet, feeling gravity re-overtake me. The planet (I called it Diana because only I, a girl, lived here.) was my home away from Earth.
Pants and growls were louder.
Aw, crap.
I pressed my hand on the fingerprint verification pad and stepped on the platform. Even Sollux/Cerber couldn't break through the wards on the planet. I stepped down the few flights of stairs to my bedroom.
It wasn't much, just a bed, chairs, a desk, a few dozen bookshelves. And, of coarse, the only way to access my mindscape.
I'm not gonna tell you how I do it. It's classified info, got it?
But I got there, and when I did, the first thing I did was turn on Mission Control. A.K.A ultimate stalking device.
Sollux was running to planet Diana, Clash the phoenix and Ratta, or as I call him, Rattattatta, tried to stop him.
I just ended up dozing off this happened to often.
Maybe next time I'll use the shadows to force Sollux to dance as a ballerina.
But until then, I'll just stay sentient.
