Episode 1: Beach Kickoff Party
The group heads to the beach in honor of being done with the school year and just enjoying summer, and the time they have with each other. Fernando and Mason decide they want to hit the waves and both go surfing. Madison suntans on the beach and Kyah keeps her company, talking about how she's so excited to finally be done with school. Kyle tries to get some alone time with Nick to just talk and hold hands, however Marker is constantly with Nick, making it impossible to be alone. Victoria doesn't want to get dirty, so she stays under the umbrella on her beach blanket, talking with Cindy about their shared hatred of the beach. Emily finds the sunset to be beautiful, and uses the opportunity to photograph the amazing gradients of pinks and oranges. While DeAnthony and Red work together to dig a hole large enough to bury Red in, Sheldon works on building the largest sandcastle this beach has ever seen! Rosemary, not liking anyone who attended the beach very much, chooses to leave early and drive back to her house. Laura and Darcy share a special moment as they watch the sunset together, the episode ending with them sharing a kiss.
Episode 2: Budding Discourse
Cindy, Victoria and Emily all go out for coffee in the morning at a small local cafe. The three discuss how strange it is that they're all going to be seniors next year and how they only have one year left till they graduate and move on with their lives. Cindy asks them what they're planning on doing after school and Emily answers by saying she’s going to pursue her career in photography. Victoria snickers, and when Emily asks why Victoria explains that “being a photographer is so unrealistic, and underpaying”. Victoria says she's already set for her life because her daddy is filthy rich due to all the wise investments he made. Emily gets upset that Victoria would so quickly talk down about her passion and decides to walk out, leaving Victoria and Cindy with an awkward tension in the air. Meanwhile Kyle texts Nick, wanting to set up a dinner date for the two at their favorite Mexican-styled restaurant. Nick takes forever to reply, and by the time he does dinner time is already over. Nick apologizes profusely, saying that he's so sorry he didn't respond earlier and that he didn't because him and Marker were out watching a movie together. Nick says it will never happen again and Kyle forgives him; The two make plans to grab lunch the next day.
Episode 3: The Boys go to the Arcade
DeAnthony, Red and Mason all decide to go to a nearby arcade for a day of fun. The invite Fernando to come with them, however Fernando denies saying “he and Madi have plans”. At the arcade, they all decide to try and get the biggest prize by sharing their tickets. Red hits the ski-ball machine, DeAnthony tried his hand at a variety of arcade games, and Mason is nowhere to be found. After they both run out of coins, Mason and DeAnthony are disappointed to find out the amount of tickets they have won't be able to get them anything good. Suddenly Mason comes back with a giant bucket of tickets, surprising them both. Mason says that he just found one machine that gave a lot of tickets if you hit the jackpot, and he got really good at it. The three all celebrate by buying a gigantic stuffed gorilla that reminds them of Fernando.
Episode 4: Fernando gets a gift for Madi
The episode begins with Fernando driving in a car to Madi’s house, saying he has a surprise for her in the form of flowers, a box of chocolates, and her favorite brand of cigarettes. Once he arrives at Madi’s house she is not happy to see him, claiming that he is a freak who she is tired of. Fernando shrugs the comments off and gives her the basket of gifts. Madi tells him that he's not getting the hint, she doesn't like him, never will, and that the flowers are hideous. She slams the door in his face and Fernando smiles, turning to the camera and claiming that she's totally into him. Meanwhile, Laura and Darcy go on a mini golf date. They have a lot of fun just messing around and laughing at how bad they both are at mini golf. In the end, they both agreed that the game was a tie and that they're both awful. They walk home together, holding hands as the sun begins to set.
Episode 5: Marker’s Big Party
Marker decides to host a party at his giant beach house while his parents are in Europe, and he invites every kid from their school to come. At the party, Emily bumps into Victoria on accident, and begins sputtering apologies. Victoria tells her to be quiet before taking a deep breath. Victoria then apologizes for her own actions earlier in the week, admitting that it was wrong of her to say that Emily’s goals were unrealistic. Emily gladly forgives her and the two promise not to risk their friendship over a stupid argument again. Later that night, a group of the teens all want to play a game of spin the bottle. Lots of kissing happens, and everyone is having a good time, however when Sheldon spins the bottle and it lands on Rosemary, Rosemary declares that she is not going to kiss Sheldon because he is disgusting and ugly. When people try to get her to calm down, Rosemary storms out, flipping everyone off and ruining the game.
Episode 6: The Aftermath
The morning after Marker’s big party, Nick, Marker, Kyle, Kyah, Madi and Emily are the only ones still at the house, and this stuck on cleanup duty. Madi is passed out on a couch from the previous night's activities, and while she sleeps Marker complains about her. Marker goes on a long rant about how Madi is such a bitch, and how all she does is smoke and complain. Kyah feels extremely intimidated and awkward because of the whole situation, and she decides to get Madi and leave. Once they're gone, Marker decides to change his attention to Rosemary, saying how it was extremely immature of her to ruin their game of Spin the Bottle, even if it was Sheldon she had to kiss. Nick agrees whole heartedly and the two both continue to gossip about their friends. Kyle is disheartened by his boyfriend’s attitude and decides he’ll go clean another room.
Episode 7: Confide & Seek
Kyle asked Emily to meet up with him at a small Mom & Pop’s breakfast restaurant. Kyle confides in Emily about how he feels really awkward whenever Nick and Marker hang out together, and that he almost feels ignored by Nick, like he cares more about Marker than he does their relationship. Kyle thinks he’s probably just being stupid and it’s nothing, but Emily yells at him saying that his emotions aren’t stupid. Emily promises that she’ll have a conversation with Nick and make him stop being such an asshole. Kyle doesn’t want her to, but Emily’s mind is already made up. Meanwhile Kyah tells Madi about how Marker was saying bad things about her when she was passed out at the party. Madi doesn’t care, and she asks Kyah if she has a lighter on her, as she really just wants to smoke a joint and get high right now. Kyah sighs disapprovingly, but then pulls out a lighter she keeps just for this reason. Madi begins talking about Fernando is such a creep, and Kyah mentions how she thinks Fernando’s crush on her is cute, like he’s a little puppy that just wants to follow her around. Madi says she hates dogs, and that Fernando is anything but cute.
Episode 8: Roadtrip
The Summer Breakers take their first group trip to Big Sycamore Canyon Campground. The boys ride in one van, and the girls take the other. In the girls van, drama unfolds before they even hit the road. Madi says she wants to be the driver, but Rosemary denies her this access, claiming that Madi is probably stoned out of her mind, and that she’d like a sober person to drive. Madi gets extremely offended and calls Rosemary a slut and tells her to go to Hell. The two get into a heated argument which ends with Darcy and Laura having to break them up before fists start swinging. In the end, Laura is the one driving, with Rosemary in the front of the van and Madi in the back. After an hour or so of light chatting, Kyah suggests they all play a roadgame. She begins singing a camp song and clapping her hands, soon enough everyone but Madi and Rosemary have joined in, singing and clapping and laughing. When they arrive Kyah tells the cameras she’s happy she was able to get everyone happy, and Laura tells the cameras it’s a miracle Madi and Rosemary didn’t end up choking each other out.
Episode 9: Setting Up Camp
The boys arrive to the campground second, and see that the girls have already set up two tents and divided themselves accordingly. Kyle gets the tent from the van and when the guys get all the pieces out of the bag, they realize there are no directions on how to set it up. Marker claims that setting up a tent is easy- sure, he’s never done it before, but how hard can it be? Red takes lead and begins telling people what to do. After about half an hour, the guys were not only still tentless, but the had also gained the audience of Victoria and Cindy who were light-heartedly laughing at their inability. Marker claims that this is way harder than he thought it’d be and gives up. Without the help of Marker, Red eventually figures it out and all the guys end up putting their first tent up. Kyle grabs the other tent bag and facepalms, revealing to everyone that the instructions were in the second bag the entire time.
Episode 10: Hiking & Eavesdropping
The group decides they want to check out the hiking paths on the mountains, so everyone who wants to go hiking splits up into small groups and begin their trek up the mountain. Rosemary stays behind in the tent, and Emily asks Nick to also stay behind, saying she wants to talk to him. On the hike, Madi, Kyah, Fernando and Sheldon get behind the others, and Fernando begins telling Madi that she is far more beautiful than any of the mountain sights he sees. Madi sarcastically replies with “Oh wow, you think I’m pretty than some rocks, how sweet”. Back at camp, Emily tells Nick that she thinks Marker is a bad influence on him, and how she thinks that Nick should be spending less time with Marker, and more time with his boyfriend- Kyle. Nick thinks that Emily’s crazy, saying that Marker is totally cool, and that his and Kyle’s relationship is perfectly fine. Rosemary is inside the tent and hears the entire conversation, when she suddenly gets a cruel idea...
