Story Preview Thing

This is a preview for something I've been working on on and off since the end of Fated. (Yes, Fated. It's been a while.) It's not anything like the final product, isn't an excerpt, and it reveals almost nothing.

Merry Christmas.

A matter of life and death
Dr. Tesla was ready. He frowned determinedly, sitting in his swivel chair with his legs pressed against the wall. He pushed against the wall as hard has he could, all while spinning around at breakneck speeds. He finally came to a stop at this desk.

"6 and a half spins." He mumbled to himself while pumping his fists. "Nice."

Exhilarating Turns of Events

Dr. Tesla was working on a spreadsheet on his computer when Dr. Jill walked in. She glared at him menacingly, ready to stab him if need be.

"Did you steal my stapler?"

"No."

"Ok." She said, turning around and leaving.

"Hey, could you close the door on your way out?"

"Sure." The door closed.

"Thanks!" He called out.

Hyper-realistic Environment

Dr. Tesla walked up to the bathroom sink. We're out of soap, he noted.

Tension Filled Ending

Dr. Tesla sighed as he walked through the lobby in the building, passing Dr. Jill.

Jill sighed. "What an unproductive day." She remarked upon seeing him.

Dr. Tesla shrugged. "At least no one died."

"I guess."

Ring Ring

The phone on the table rung, signaling that a customer was calling them.

Ring Ring

Dr. Jill frowned. So much for nobody dying.

Dr. Tesla internally sighed. Looks like it's the graveyard shift for me.

(I don't believe that I did as I googled the lyrics every time I respond to this and I counted the lines to make sure XP)

What I find weirdest about this is that series of numbers shows up as something that can be called.

That's funny. Those last 2 lines are codes. When cracked, they'll show the title of the story and when it's coming out. I'm curious to see if anyone will try to crack them. The 1st is encoded in the vigenere cipher.

I wasn't quite that specific, but yea. March 2017. I glad someone got that!

Separate the 2 numbers in each term by order and put them into groups.

Also it's nigh impossible solving the other one without knowing the word you used to cipher it, I suppose I could try things like "mysterious" or "toaster", but that'd probably be a lot of work for no pay off

The word is an important one in story. It recurs in every section in the same place each time. Deciphering it will give you the story title. Also, you could use something like my cipher description program, although I'm not sure anything like mine exists on the Internet.
